What Should We Rejoice For
1. Rejoicing for the name are written in heaven.
The gift is that the Holy Spirit distributes them to each one, just as he determines. The role of the gift is to construct others and all gifts wil pass away when completeness comes. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.
There are different between doing the work of God and keeping God's laws. A man who can heal and drive out demons but is not necessarily able to enter heaven. However, we need to drive out demons that can overcome evils. And a important sign will accompany those who believe is that in the name of Jesus name we will drive out demons. But what the purpose we believe in the Lord is eternal life and this is the most important. Some people believe the Lord for a long time, or be enticed and entangled with other things, and will forget the purpose of the believer. Peter said: Lord, you have the word of eternal life. Who am I to follow? We must have a dedicated mind and follow Jesus wholeheartedly. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
2. Rejoicing for finding one sheep that wandered off.
Believers are sheep. In the same way our Father in heaven is not willing that any of us little ones should perish. Jesus would leave the ninety-nine sheep and go to look for the one who is lost. If you are an employee, you will value 99 sheep more than a sheep because it is economic benefits through balancing between gains and losses. If you are a sheep owner, what you miss in your heart is the lost one.
The Bible tells us that even if we have ten thousand guardians in Christ, we do not have many fathers. It is the heart of the Lord to rejoice for believers keeping in the Lord and to rejoice even more because one wandered off are fund. We should regard the heart of Jesus Christ as our heart. Have parents not happy to come back for their lost children? No. Parents rejoice in returning their lost children, even greater than that is still around them. It is because they are regained.
3. Rejoicing for others are released and saved.
There is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. God is not pleased with the sinner's destruction by sin, but he is pleased to repent of sinners for life. However, the Pharisees were arrogant and upright, they did not rejoice for people were healed from illness but they hated Jesus because he did not observe the rules of the Sabbath. The Pharisees were waiting for Christ, but when Jesus came they did not know Jesus even killed Jesus Christ .
They kept external laws well and far better than the other people. But they were spiritually blind people. Their hearts were filled with all kinds of sin and filth. The law of God was not in their hearts. Although they honors God with their lips likes honey, but the hearts are far from God. People are justified by faith and not by obeying the law. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
John the Baptist said: He will be prosperous, and I will be feeble. Jesus is the head and the church is the body. Instead of Jesus obeying the church, the church should obey Jesus. We must not be the heads of church and should give glory to Jesus. We rejoice in the prosperity of the church, the increase of believers, the spread of the gospel and the salvation of soul, the release and the heal of people. We are members of each other and need to communicate and help with each other, repair the broken walls, share with who are in need and work diligently to build the body of Jesus Christ.
I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. (Luke15:7 NIV)
4. Rejoice in spiritual rejuvenation.
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. God wants to give joy to people, but the devil wants to take away people's joy. We must always rejoice in the Lord.
When Elizabeth saw Mary, she was filled with the Holy Spirit and she rejoiced. The church of the apostles continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts. Jesus preached the gospel and was rejected; but when he was filled with the Holy Spirit, he rejoiced. Paul rejoiced in the spread of the gospel and the development of the church. When John saw the believers obeying the truth, he was rejoiced. The apostles were humiliated for preaching the gospel of God, but their heart were rejoiced. Their prayers were filled with the Holy Spirit, and even the house were shaken.
