The Importance To Preach The Word Of God Correctly
There's a way to identify if the word preached is true or not? What is the way? We could distinguish by seeing if the word is followed by power or not. The kingdom of God is not in words, but in power. Truth has always been about power, not words. We found that the Pharisees talked and learned a great deal of teachings. But do them have effect? They have no power. Indeed, their faith is dead. They're just dead words which kill people. Not by ourselves who can bear anything. The word kills, but the Spirit gives life. The Holy Spirit is truth. Truth brings power which gives life, grace, signs, testimony, redemption, abundance and renewal. When we preach the true word, the power will follow.
What we can bear is from God. Who has made us able ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the spirit; For the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. "(2 Corinthians 3:5-6 NIV)
But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord wills, and I will know not the words of those who are puffed up, but the power. For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power. "(1 Corinthians 4:19-20 NIV)
And the Spirit testifies, because the Spirit is truth. "(1 John 5:7 NIV)
Do we know Moses had the power from God? How do we know? Moses performed ten miraculous signs in Egypt. Many miraculous signs were performed in the desert. The parting of the Red Sea, the descent of manna from the sky, the water from the rock, the plague of locusts, the plague of hail, the plague of flies, the plague of sores, the plague of darkness, the loss of children, the power of falling fortresses, the power of dismembering snakes... which showed power. So we know that the atonement of the Lamb in the Tent of Meeting has the power to forgive SINS. It's not just lip service. There is evidence from God. There is evidence to show that Moses had this power.
Which is greater, forgiveness of SINS or healing the sick? No doubts, it is the forgiveness of SINS. Forgiveness of sins cannot be seen by your eyes while healing the sick can be witnessed by sight. Jesus demonstrated his power to forgive SINS through his power to heal the sick. Sometimes we need test our teaching by seeing if we have power or not. Am I preaching correctly? Do I know how to identify? Actually I am usually not sure. So, what shall I do? I also test it by power. So, all of us need check. Check the preaching according to the Bible. We shall adjust it. We shall learn. We shall think.
And these signs will follow those who believe, and in my name they will cast out demons. Speak a new dialect; The hand can hold a snake; If you drink any poison, it will not hurt you; Put your hands on the sick, and they will recover." And when the Lord Jesus had spoken unto them, he was taken up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out, and preached the Gospel everywhere. And the Lord worked with them, and confirmed the word by the signs that followed. Amen! "(Mark 16:17-20 KJV)
Take the Bible and compare it with what others are saying and what you are saying. Inspection will be carried out. During this process, we can Learn, correct wrong understanding and update knowledge base. When your preaching and teaching are right according to the Bible, then you will find miraculous signs and wonders followed. For God is just, and loving, and merciful, and full of grace. There is also a difference between receiving the Word of God and knowing it. When you receive the true word of God, there will also be miracles. Receiving the Word of God does not mean knowing it. But in receiving the word of God there is grace, signs and testimony. We need not only to receive the word of God, but also to understand it further. Further progress in the truth. We shall be familiar with the word of God. We shall preach the word of God.
Why do we put so much emphasis on this(to seek the goal of every word we preach is true)? For it is God's Word that truly saves our souls. Therefore, we should be careful and prudent. Like a doctor, he must learn more and be careful with medication. Because this is a matter of health and of human life. We need be accountable to others and to self:
Being a doctor shall have medical ethics to be responsible for others. The church has many brothers and sisters who are doctors who need be responsible to patients and God. Be responsible to others and for oneself also. As the Scripture says, "Our heart does not rebuke us." In teaching, it is even more so. This is not only responsible to others, but also to God and to yourself.
If our heart rebuke us, God is greater than our heart and knows everything. "(1 John 3:20 NIV)
Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, we have confidence before God. "(1 John 3:21 NIV)
But reject profane and old wives' fables, and train yourself to be godly. . Do these things diligently, give yourself wholly to them, so that your progress may be seen by all. Take care of yourself and your teaching. Be steadfast in these things. For by doing so you will both save yourself and those who hear you. "(1 Timothy 4:7,15-16 NIV)
At the same time. Be tact, too. When a doctor sees a patient, he or she takes medication for each patient because there are various kinds of patients. Some are good-natured, some are good-tempered. But,
1, we shall provide good treatment to whoever come to church for the sake of the patients. Wrong medicine cannot be used in any patient but to heal the wounded to save the dead. Jesus said, those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.
2, pay attention to your own safety. And He said unto them, As sheep among wolves: therefore be as gentle as doves, and as cunning as serpents.
3, love your neighbor as yourself. Love fulfills the law. Put yourself in the others shoes. If you are a patient and you want your doctor to treat you, then treat your patient the way you want the doctor to treat you. This is the law and the prophets.
4, to improve their medical skills. Improve the level of medical skills. Improve your medical treatment practice. Moses spent forty years in Egypt learning knowledge. Forty years of training in the wilderness. Later, he became better at serving people and God.
5, know how to trust God in your heart. Have no pride and will not disappoint. To have peace in the mind and know how to seek God in everything.
