What Is New Convenant

Convenant is contract

1.Written by the Holy Spirit( Not written by pens, pencils or brush, not written by inks but by the Holy Spirit)

2.Written in the heart( not written in stones or papers but in the heart)

3.Law is written in the heart.( Law is the content of the contract. Holy Spirit writes the law in the heart of men.)

4.Established by the blood. ( Just as to use red inkpad to seal the contract. New convenant is to use the red blood of Jesus to seal the new convent.

New convenant is different from new testament. New Testament is book, new convenant is the new contract set by God with men.

The time when Jesus appeared in flesh in the world was still under old convenant since Jesus hadn't died to shed out blood and the Holy Spirit had not yet descended. That is why parents of Jesus brought offerings to synagogue for Jesus and Jesus went to Jerusalem for passover since it was in old convenant.

The Holy Spirit descended on the day of pentecost to establish the new convenant between God and men.

In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.(Luke 22:20 NIV)

Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God,which he bought with his own blood.(Acts 20:28 NIV)

to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. (Hebrews 12:24 NIV)

“Judah’s sin is engraved with an iron tool, inscribed with a flint point, on the tablets of their hearts and on the horns of their altars. (Jeremiah 17:1 NIV)

You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. (2 Corinthians 3:3 NIV)

“This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.”(Hebrews 10:16 NIV)
