The Gospel Of Truth And Salvation: Witness Of The Gospel Of Burundi 6

Last Sunday we preached the Gospel truth in a church in the mountains, and the leaders and believers of this church received the truth. It was late and the road to the baptism was rough, so the church superintendent suggested that the baptism be held this week.

Today we have come to this church with preacher Solomon and seven other preachers to baptize. This church is in the mountain. Every time I come here, I have to cross the mountain and the river. The road is very steep We thank God for our keep us peace and joy every time. Although the brothers and sisters in the mountains are very short of material things, they treat us with food and fruit from their trees every time . They are very warm to us.

Preacher Solomon advised us to preach the word first by the river, so that as many people would hear the word, they could go into the water and be baptized as soon as they wanted. There were three or four elderly sisters, three babies, a pregnant woman, and many children, including a handicapped twelve-year-old girl who was born unable to walk but able to crawl, who was baptized by faith. A total of 38 brothers and sisters were baptized today.

After being baptized, the brothers and sisters were especially happy. The little girl with a handicapped leg sang praise to God: "Lovely Father, many children like me died soon after they were born. But because of your love, I am still alive today, your grace is in my body, I thank God very much, praise God!"

There are more than 100 people in this church. When we came last week, almost all of them were willing to be baptized, and 73 adults signed up. However, because it is not convenient to contact in the mountains, many believers do not have mobile phones and are in different mountain tops. Many people do not know the news we have come here today and have gone to do farm work, leaving many old people and children. John, the preacher of this church, was baptized last week and has not yet received the Holy Spirit. So we prayed to God that God would lead him to receive the Holy Spirit and understand the truth, so that John would be able to preach the truth in this country, and to baptize for those who believe.

After the baptism, the Holy Communion and foot washing was hold, with prayer for the Holy Spirit. The first time we asked for the Holy Spirit, a 13-year-old boy received the Holy Spirit, but the voice of the local preacher was quiet, and we were not sure whether he received the Holy Spirit or not. It was getting late, and after the other believers had gone home, we stayed with the local preacher John and asked for the Holy Spirit one more time. As they knelt down, the preachers of the true Jesus Church heard the Holy Spirit say, "Pour John with great water, fill, fill." "And felt the water as if it were pouring down from heaven. At that moment, John preached that the Holy Spirit was full, speaking in tongues loudly and fluently.

Thank God, because the local preacher was baptized by the Holy Spirit and could then baptize those who believed in Jesus. In the beginning, preacher Solomon could come and help him, and then he would have more and more strength and faith in Jesus .

There is much harvest to be reaped, but few workers. May the Lord Jesus give more power and send more workers to work with the Lord . Hallelujah. Amen.
