Five Spiritual Gifts In The Church — Teachers

Teachers have the gift of knowledge that make people with the knowledge of Jesus' will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives and help people to learn the Bible and understand God's will.

But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. Here are three kinds of gifts that build the church up: one is the prophecies, other is the tongues, the other is the knowledge. These three gifts are from the prophets, the apostles and teachers.

The gift is very important, but in the new heaven and earth, all these spiritual gifts will pass away. There will be no apostles, no prophets, no pastors, no healing, no driving out the demons, no speaking new tongues, no translating new tongues. When completeness comes, what is in part disappears. The gift will pass away, faith, hope and love will remain. So it is visible that gifts are not the most important, faith, hope and love are most important.

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Now eagerly desire the greater gifts, but why? In order to build the church up for the sake of love. What we are hoping is not yet available, what we are believing is preparing for the future. It is visible in the church faith, hope and love are most important and is essential. We need to pursue spiritual gifts, but more to pursue the faith, hope, love. Among them, the greatest is love, God is love.

We do not do a job until Jesus's entrust, for the gifts are different. And the little thing shall be done with faithfulness. We need preach the word and serve people for Jesus no matter in season and out of season. Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of Jesus', you did for Jesus. Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much. Love completes the law.
