After Living Baptism, God Gave Me The Promised Holy Spirit

【Testimony of Receiving the Holy Spirit: After taking the living water baptism, I earnestly prayed for the Holy Spirit, and God gave me the promised Holy Spirit】

In the name of the Lord Jesus to share the testimony.

I received the Holy Spirit on Jan 03, 2021. Finally, God gave me the Holy Spirit which I asked for, thank the Lord. Brothers and sisters, as long as we pray persistently for the Holy Spirit, our heavenly Father will surely give it to us.

In the afternoon of May 30, 2020, I received the living water baptism for remission of the sins in a big river. After that, I also took foot washing (have part with Jesus) and Holy Communion (have the life of Jesus life in us). But I didn’t receive the Holy Spirit after several times’ prayer.

Later, in the afternoon of September 20, 2020, there were brothers and sisters who were going to be baptized. I accompanied them throughout the whole process. I hoped that the Lord would bestow the precious Holy Spirit to me, but I still didn’t receive it in the prayer.

When I knew that there would be fellowship meetings these several days , I took the train to come here and actively participated in it. I earnestly prayed to God for the Holy Spirit. When the fellowship meeting was almost over, the brothers and sisters started to return back one by one. My return ticket was scheduled at 14:30 in the afternoon.

It was almost 12pm noon. When I was worried about how to receive the Holy Spirit, sister Zheng came to exhort me to have faith. She said that the Lord Jesus will definitely give the Holy Spirit to the children, it’s just a matter of sooner or later.

I changed the return ticket to tomorrow. The elder and brethren prayed together with me again. I believed that I will receive the Holy Spirit today. They reminded me to think about what transgression I had, confess and repent the transgressions in the prayer to the Lord. They told me that I should  earnestly and dedicatedly ask for the Holy Spirit.

When I came downstairs, I heard a little boy excitedly stating to everyone that he just saw a vision while praying: there is a ladder, the Lord Jesus and four angels welcome those who receive the Holy Spirit...

I was even more anxious. Later, when I prayed again, I received the Holy Spirit.

After receiving the Holy Spirit, I finally understood:

(1) Focus on asking for the Holy Spirit. Don’t ask for anything else which belongs to this world.

(2) Pray earnestly and persistently, repent, and examine ourselves

This is how I pray for the Holy Spirit:

【 In the name of the Lord Jesus I pray. Lord, my heavenly Father, my children and I have been baptized and have become the children of God. But I did not confess the Lord before others, which did not glorify the Lord. Lord, I confess my sins for this, please have mercy on me, and I will give glory to the name of the Lord in the future. Hallelujah Praise the Lord... In the name of the Lord Jesus, I pray for the Holy Spirit, Hallelujah…

Lord, I am already your child. A few days ago, I went to a funeral of a gentile relative. Although I did not kneel down to worship idols, I touched superstitious objects, I confessed my sins and repented and asked for mercy from the Lord. I will then glorify the name of the Lord Jesus in front of everyone. I ask the Lord to give me the Holy Spirit, Hallelujah...

Lord, there may still be many worldly sins in me, such as greed for possessions, greed for beauty, appearance and physical maintenance, not returning other people’s things in time, etc…

Lord, it is me who is weak and without wisdom, and I need the Lord to give me the Holy Spirit, who always lives in me, increases my faith, guides me, and helps me. Please give me the Holy Spirit. I would like to follow the Lord wholeheartedly until the end of my flesh die.

During the prayer of confession, I felt a hot flow (the Holy Spirit) come to my chest, and my heart was warm and fiery (the heart is so peaceful and so joyful), The Holy Spirit is flowing, slowly flowing to the arms, hands, legs, feet, as well as face, eyes, ears. It’s a warm and gentle heat flow. What a joy!

Hallelujah. As the heat flow poured over my body, my tongue jumped automatically and I started to speak in tongues (other tongues).

(Matthew 7:11) If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

(Hebrews 11:6) But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
